You may leave comments and other Blog-entries on our Website. If you use that function your entry and the personal data you add (e.g. name, email address) will be transferred to us and stored on our servers. Your data will be only used to publish your entry. The processing of your data is based on your consent (Art. 6 (1) a. GDPR).

  1. Newsletter

If you wish to receive our newsletter you have to enter your e-mail address. We then send a confirmation e-mail to this e-mail address to check your authorization as to the e-mail account. In order to activate the newsletter dispatch, you have to click on the confirmation link in the confirmation mail (“double opt-in”).

When you register for the newsletter we save your IP-address as well as the date and time of your registration in addition to the e-mail address provided, so that we can trace and document your registration at a later date. We use the collected data exclusively for the dispatch of the newsletter. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time by withdrawing your consent. You can either click on the link provided in our newsletter or contact us immediately with the revocation.

Our newsletters contain small graphic data that are automatically loaded from a server on the Internet when your e-mail is opened and are linked to the IP address or cookie you are using. This will tell us if and when you have opened the newsletter and which contents of the newsletter are of particular interest to you. We store and evaluate this data in order to optimize the newsletter dispatch and to align the content of future newsletters to your interests. The data will not be passed on to third parties.

Legal basis for the processing of the data to the newsletter dispatch is your consent (Art. 6 (1) a. GDPR. The legal basis for newsletter tracking is Art. 6 (1) f. GDPR, since it is in our legitimate interest to adjust our newsletter to our customers’ demands.

  • Google Tag Manager

Our Website uses Google Tag Manager, provided by Google LLC. (s. above). Google Tag Manager helps us to manage website tags. Although Google Tag Manager does not collect any personal data the tool triggers other tags which miht collect personal data. If you have disabled cookies on your browser Google Tag Manager will not trigger further tags which collect personal data.

The use of Google Tag Manager is based on Art. 6 (1) f. GDPR as we have a legitimate interest to effectively manage our website tags.

  • Google Ads

We use Google Ads, provided by Google LLC. (s. above). When you click on an ad placed by Google, a conversion tracking cookie is placed on your computer. These cookies have a limited validity of 30 days, do not contain any personal data and are therefore not used for personal identification. If you visit certain pages of our website and the cookie has not expired, Google and we may recognize that you clicked on the ad and were directed to that page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. As a result, there is no way that cookies can be tracked through Ads customer websites. The collected data is used to compile statistics in order to know the total number of users who clicked on one of our ads and were directed to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag.

  • Google Fonts

We use Google Fonts, provided by Google LLC (s. above). When you open a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly. For this purpose your browser has to establish a direct connection to Google servers. Google thus becomes aware that our web page was accessed via your IP address. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font is used by your computer.

The use of Google Fonts is based on Art. 6 (1) f. GDPR as we have a legitimate interest to present our Website in a uniform and attractive manner.

  • Google Maps

Our Website uses Google Maps, a service provided by Google LLC (s. above). We use Google Maps to display an interactive map in order to enable you to find the location of our services. Google, however, will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. Nevertheless, it is technically possible for Google to identify at least individual users on the basis of the data received.   • Mailchimp

The mail provider “Mailchimp” by Rocket Science Group LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA receives and processes your data on our behalf, in particular email address, IP address, device name. These data are processed on servers in the USA. Mailchimp is certified according to “Privacy Shield”. The “Privacy Shield” is an agreement between the European Union (EU) and the USA to ensure compliance with European data protection standards in the USA.

Mailchimp is a service with which the dispatch of newsletters can be organized and analyzed. With the help of Mailchimp we can analyze our newsletter campaigns. When you open an e-mail sent with Mailchimp, a file contained in the e-mail (so-called web beacon) connects to the Mailchimp servers in the USA. This allows us to determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links have been clicked on. In addition, technical information is recorded (e.g. time of registration, IP address, browser type and operating system). This information cannot be assigned to the respective newsletter recipient. They are used exclusively for statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns. The results of these analyses can be used to better adapt future newsletters to the interests of the recipients.

If you do not want Mailchimp to analyze your data, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. For this purpose, we provide a respective link in every newsletter. The data are stored for the purpose of newsletter subscription will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from our servers as well as from the servers of MailChimp after you unsubscribe from the newsletter.   • Freshworks

We use Freshworks a tool to manage our customer relations offered by Freshworks Inc., 1250 Bayhill Drive, Suite 315, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. Freshworks gets access to all data that are relavant with respect to our services, especially data that we need for communication purposes (email, Chat, phone) like

The use of Mailgun is based on Art. 6 (1) f. GDPR as we have a legitimate interest to use safe and effective mail services.

  • WordPress-Plugins

Wordfence Security helps us to prevent our Website from hacking our malware. Its use is based on Art. 6 (1) f. GDPR as we have a legitimate interest to ensure security in respect of our website. We use bbPress to create a forum within our Website. The data processing is based on Art. 6 (1) f. GDPR as we have a legitimate interest to enable our users to use a communication forum. We use BuddyPress to transform our Website into a social network platform. The data processing is based on Art. 6 (1) f. GDPR as we have a legitimate interest to gain the advantages of a social network. LearnPress is a WordPress addon that helps you set up an e-learning site quickly and easily. The data processing is based on Art. 6 (1) f. GDPR as we have a legitimate interest to offer you an e-learning platform. Akismet helps us to protect our Website from comment or contact form spam. Its use is based on Art. 6 (1) f. GDPR as we have a legitimate interest to prevent from spam messages. Among other things we use Jetpack to prevent our Website from brute-force attacks, malware and spam. The processing of data is based on Art. 6 (1) f. GDPR as we have a legitimate interest to guarantee a high security standard.

In order to book a language class you will need to submit the following data:

After your booking we kindly ask you to submit the following data for the Klazz Campus Set Up:

The submission of these data is optional. We process them to help our Users to connect with each other and to create a personal and social learning environment between them to improve the learning effects.

The processing is generally based on your explicit consent when submitting the data (based on Art. 6 (1) a. GDPR). Where the data is necessary to fulfil the contract (e.g. your name and your address) the data processing is also based on Art. 6 (1) b. GDPR.

  • Host Family

If you also want to book a stay at a host family you will also have to submit information as to any dietary requirements or allergies and as to your smoking habits. These data are highly sensitive as they concern information with respect to your health (Art. 9 GDPR). We process these data to ensure that your host family is prepared for any special needs regarding your health. We process these special categories of data based on your explicit consent (Art. 6 (1) a. GDPR).

If you are curious to see what other students will participate in a particular language class you will either have register with us or to log in with Facebook or Gmail Connect.

If you decide to create an account on our Website you will have to submit the following data

After the submission of your data we are going to send you a confirmation link to the email address provided which contains a confirmation link. The registration process is completed when you confirmed your email address by clicking the link. You may now log in with your user name and your password.
